Selection of volunteers begins for 2012 Olympics

For volunteers for next year’s Olympic Games,interviews were commencing in London today.

Another eight selection centres – including one in Coventry – will open around the UK between March and August.

for the 70,000-strong London 2012 Games Maker volunteer team,up to 100,000 people will be interviewed over the next 14 months.

Volunteers will be tested such as working in the stadium or media centre – and will be tested on leadership, communication skills and working under pressure.

There are several roles available such as ticket checkers,car park marshals,showing people their seats and carrying the athletes’ kitbags.
